The criteria applied by Finland in grouping aerodromes / heliports for the provision of information in this AIP are as follows:

International aerodrome / heliport
|
The aerodrome / heliport of entry and departure for international air traffic, where such formalities as customs and border control are carried out full-time or only by PPR and where air traffic services (ATC, AFIS) are available on a regular basis.

Note: Some of the secondary international aerodromes are military aerodromes and flights of foreign aircraft are allowed with prior permission only, see AD 1.1, para 3.

National aerodrome / heliport
|
An aerodrome / heliport available only for domestic air traffic.
|
|
Quarantine airport means an airport which, with regard to its facilities and arrangements, is suitable for use in the event of suspected case of a very serious infectious and contagious disease in a passenger or crew member of an aircraft.
|
The quarantine airport have the necessary medical staff available to confirm any suspected contagious infectious disease and, if necessary, place the exposed persons in isolation (quarantine).
